#fey

Fey resembling human women, but with fox tails and a wooden hollow in their backs. They’re said to bring luck good or bad and are sought after by ship captains as lucky charms for their crew.

Huldra must sustain themselves on the blood of sentient creatures.

Many Huldra try to pass as normal human women by disguising their tail and their wooden hollow.

Origins

Legends tell that Huldra were created by Troll Witches to lure humans through seduction. They’re said to be corrupted Dryads, replacing their reliance on nature with a reliance on blood. Huldra hate this story, and most deny it whenever it’s brought up.

Recently, Rotta of Gungnir has found evidence that this tale of Troll Witches is not accurate. She found evidence that the origin of the Huldra is possibly related to the ancient Serpent Empire, based on references she found to rituals. The evidence suggests they created the Huldra to battle their enemies in Azlanti.

Possibility of a Cure

Rotta of Gungnir is searching for a way to reverse the rituals she believes were used by the Serpent Empire to create the Huldra. The ritual separates Dryads from nature & trees.

She hopes that in reversing the ritual she can cure the Huldra of their “temporary condition.”

The cure possibly resides on the island of Lilywhite.
